A Butterfly Experience at Exhibitor2008
Exhibit Fair International(EFI), an innovative exhibit and marketing solutions company based in Las Vegas, created a buzz at the Exhibitor2008 Show by having a butterfly habitat built in their exhibit and live monarch butterflies given to attendees. “I wanted to create something unique and memorable, a real experience that would get people talking…The butterfly was the obvious choice in my mind from the beginning for our marketing campaign since we’ve experienced such transformation within our organization in the last few years. In addition, it was very important to us to tie-in our continued support for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and everything they do for children with life threatening illnesses.” said General Manager of EFI, Costas Varkarotas. “We did this by offering attendees live butterflies for a small donation to the foundation.” Native American Indians believed that a butterfly was a sacred creature. Prior to releasing it, you had to whisper a wish to it, the butterfly would bring that wish into reality.
The butterflies were kept in cool climate controlled individual boxes. The lower temperature in each box, placed the butterfly into a restful “hibernation” state designed to protect it prior to the release. At the appropriate time, each attendee would open the triangular box and their beautiful monarch would literally come alive on their hand and eventually fly away. The experience touched some attendees in a very profound and spiritual manner.
“The end result was a win-win situation for all. Our goal was to raise one thousand dollars for The Make-A-Wish Foundation, we actually raised $1,200 for the Foundation and we at EFI walked away with numerous leads and contacts. A memorable lasting impact on the show floor was achieved.

CONEXPO BREEZES INTO LAS VEGAS IN 2008
IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN WHEN THE LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER WELCOMES THE CONEXPO FOLKS INTO OUR CITY. THIS YEAR AS USUAL, THE SHOW INCLUDED VARIOUS EXHIBITS AND MULTI-STOREY STRUCTURES LOCATED OUTSIDE IN THE PARKING LOTS. EFI REPRESENTED SEVERAL CLIENTS INCLUDING OPTIBELT, PR DIAMOND AND VIMOTER TO NAME A FEW. “THE CHALLENGES ARE VERY UNIQUE TO THIS SHOW,” SAID COSTAS VARKAROTAS, GENERAL MANAGER OF EFI. “LOGISTICAL OBSTACLES SUCH AS COORDINATING AND MOVING HEAVY EQUIPMENT INTO PLACE IS ALWAYS A CHALLENGE AND LET’S NOT FORGET THE UNPREDICTABLE 50 MILE AN HOUR WIND-FACTOR THAT IS SO COMMON IN LAS VEGAS DURING THE MONTH OF MARCH..” ALL OF THESE SHOW ATTRIBUTES PROVIDE A VERY INTERESTING SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES AND CAREFUL PLANNING THAT EFI TOOK INTO ACCOUNT. “THE END RESULT IS SATISFIED CLIENTS WITHOUT ANY DRAMA OR SURPRISES TO DEAL WITH.”

Interprint Corp just recently celebrated a successful corporate event at the Venetian that dazzled the crowds and attendees from SURFACES 08 and paved the way to that industry’s first ever private event held off the show floor.

Exhibit Fair Intl launches new product - “The EFI Communicator”
Exhibit Fair International(EFI), together with a well respected Industry IT Developer is proud to introduce the EFI Communicator. The Communicator centers on a password protected browser-based environment where event suppliers, their partners and corporate customers can interact asynchronously. “This introduction is very exciting for us and will be implemented in three transitional phases” said General Manager of EFI, Costas Varkarotas. “First phase is obviously test-driving it internally in Account Management and then followed by full implementation and participation by all of our employees. Our clients’ involvement and interaction will be the last of the three phases.” The "e-info" product modules bring value to three mission critical areas, Collaboration, Account Management and E-Commerce.
In the Collaboration Area, The Communicator will allow us to perform the following communication tasks:
* Sharing of designs/graphics/floor plans and collecting organized feedback.
* Sharing construction progress on-line with internal/external customers.
* Creating and sharing budgets/financial reports both project specific and program level.
* Archiving historic information, graphics, budgets, schedules, inventories and event images.
Account Management will be enhanced in the following ways:
* Providing tasking & calendaring with user defined timelines.
* Sending automatic reminders to task owners.
* Reviewing graphic archives and making selections for specific events.
* Dynamically generating budgets, work orders and show service requirements.
In the E-Commerce Area:
* Allowing customers to place orders for event requirements at their convenience.
* View and select from necessary properties from an existing inventory of portables/components.
* Use customer specific templates to capture the content information needed for a graphic layout.
Costas had this to say about the software, “The EFI Communicator is a tool that will take the EFI Brand to a higher level of communication and service. We are thrilled to provide such a valuable tool to our employees and customers and be able to highlight our commitment to growth and development.”

EFI’s custom rental solution for “Club EI” won Best Booth at NFDA 2007
When Eternal Image contracted EFI to become their partner for the upcoming National Funeral Directors Association in Las Vegas, we knew that something special was in the works. Club EI, the exclusive Eternal Image display won "Best Booth" for new exhibitors at this year's NFDA expo.
"The response we received at this year's show was overwhelming," said Clint Mytych, CEO, Eternal Image. "We focused our display entirely around our products which we knew would be a great success. It was surreal for me to look out of the booth and see people waiting in line to get in."
The Vegas theme was apparent throughout the convention. The party in Club EI, the exclusive Eternal Image booth, was in the products. The display was designed to highlight never before seen Eternal Image branded urns and caskets. The company debuted several products for the first time at this year's convention such as the STAR TREK(TM) prototype urn and rendering of the "Photon Torpedo" inspired casket. Major League Baseball production caskets, the newest MLB(TM) urns and the first Precious Moments production urn. The first Cat Fanciers' Association production urn also debuted at this year's show.
"We hit the jackpot in Vegas," said Nick Popravsky, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Eternal Image. "The company is coming back from the convention with more than three-thousand new business leads. We couldn't be more ecstatic with the outcome of this year's show."
“It’s such an honor for all of us at EFI to help boost a client’s marketing objectives and have them achieve what we are all striving for, Pure Success,” said Costas Varkarotas, EFI General Manager. “Once again, our rental inventory’s flexibility along with the dedication of the account executive on this project, Steve Richards and our lead designer, Mike Carvalho, together, reiterate EFI’s service commitment to our clients.”

The staff at EFI continue their tradition of helping children.
EFI (Exhibit Fair International), a full service 3-dimensional marketing firm based out of Las Vegas, wanted to continue its tradition of helping children with life threatening illnesses this holiday season by doing something very special.
“We are committed to giving back and I cannot think of better cause than helping children” said EFI General Manager, Costas Varkarotas. “Our goal was to raise enough money to purchase toys and gifts for all the children in The Pediatric-Comprehensive Cancer Center in Las Vegas.” The clinic is the only one of its kind in the Vegas valley that provides loving care and treatment to children with life threatening illnesses and their families.
“The response from our employees was amazing! They displayed such compassion, pride and generosity. They made us all very proud” said Varkarotas. “Next year, we would like to up the ante and get involvement at an earlier date and possibly get more colleagues and/or companies from the industry to participate. This charity drive has no hidden agendas, it focuses directly to the source and the outcome is absolutely wonderful. To see a child in so much pain it breaks your heart and yet a smile for even a second, makes such a huge difference in their lives!”
If you are interested in participating next year, please contact Costas Varkarotas at cvarkarotas@efiinc.com
